Whether you want to concentrate or meet someone | Voices of SBRICK and ABRICK users

S BRICK is a "hub for interaction that connects islands and people, and people with each other." On the other hand, many people also use it as a co-working space for their daily work and studies. The hall at S BRICK and the floor at A BRICK are open to everyone free of charge, and anyone can use them after registering their information at the counter.

SBRICK's everyday appearance is quite different from the lively atmosphere at events. We spoke to users to hear about their experiences using SBRICK.

    Late teens/female

    — Why did you start using A・SBRICK?
I found out about it through a friend.

― What are your main purposes for using it?
I always use the fourth floor of ABRICK to study.

― ABRICKWhy use the fourth floor?

Being able to eat and drink allows me to concentrate on studying again. That's a major reason why I choose this place.

―Please tell me what you like about it.

It's clean and well-maintained! I personally appreciate clean toilets. There are many student users, but it's never awkward to bump into someone.

    30s/Female

    — How did you first learn about A・SBRICK?
It was incredibly hot on the day there was an event at the civic square. I first saw the ABRICK sign and went in, which is how I first learned about it.

― How often do you use it?
Depending on my work schedule, I use it up to three times a week at most, and at least twice a month at least.

    ― What's your favorite part?
I do text-based work, and I come here when I need to concentrate. It's quiet and very easy to use.

A・SBRICK has been found to be used as a place to work, study, and adjust to new environments. Users seem to be able to switch gears and focus on their work, saying things like, "I can concentrate better than at home," "I can drop in easily," and "It's comfortable."

Before exam periods, you can see local students studying intently with their friends, and because there are bus stops for Kobe and Osaka nearby, you can also see people stopping by for work.

We hope this space will continue to be a comfortable place for a variety of people to use, both as a place to concentrate in peace and as a place to meet people while taking a break.
