    INFORMATION
[Saturday, October 18th] The Nijiyura tenugui (hand towel) factory from Sakai, Osaka is coming! We will be holding the "From Spinning Mill to Tenugui Festival".

A special day where you can touch, learn about, buy, and enjoy the entire process from "thread to tenugui (Japanese hand towel)."

The red brick spinning mill "S BRICK," which once supported the development of Sumoto City, is now home to the tenugui (hand towel) factory of "Nijiyura," a brand that preserves the traditional chusen dyeing technique that originated in Sakai, Osaka, during the same period!

Blurring, wavering. When the dye bleeds, the personality of the person who created it also shines through. We want to convey this in a way that suits the present age, by making the most of traditional dyeing techniques that convey a sense of human warmth while combining them with new individuality. And we want to preserve the "Chūsen" dyeing method for future generations. "Nijiyura" is a tenugui (hand towel) brand from Sakai, Osaka, born from such passionate feelings.

Born in 2005, I live in Hyogo Prefecture. I began my career as a painter after exhibiting my first work in the summer of 2024. There are still many things about the meaning and reasons behind my paintings that I can't quite put into words, but I express the joy within myself every day, with the hope that I and those who see my paintings will feel happiness and excitement.

About the SBRICK original tenugui (Japanese hand towel) design
The connection between SBRICK and the people who gather there was very impressive, and I tried to capture the image of various forms of expression coming together at the SBRICK event to create a new form of expression. Please look forward to the finished product.
