When you hear the word "craft," do you think of knitting or woodworking? We define "craft" as making things that convey the feelings and intentions of the person who made them. On Awaji Island, there are many crafts that go beyond just physical objects, including many related to food.
We held the "Oshi na Oishii Craft Matsuri" (Delicious Craft Festival for Fans), an event where fans can't help but "support" the passion of beer brewers, chefs, and producers! Furthermore, a sock manufacturer that operates "Kutsushitaya" stores nationwide...TabioWe collaborated with [company name]! Here's a report on a day when craftsmen gathered from all over the island.
FIRST YEAR RECORDING “ECHO”

Prior to the event on December 8th (Sunday), an exhibition was held featuring "NAMINO OTO BREWING," a craft beer brewery in Minami-Awaji City, and ksk/keisuke terada, who is in charge of the brand's design.
NAMINO OTO BREWING opened in June 2023 in Keino Matsubara, Minami Awaji City. The representative, Mr. Kono, studied agriculture from undergraduate to graduate school, then worked for a food processing company. After that, he trained at Kotobuki Shuzo (Kuninocho Beer) in Takatsuki, Osaka, where he was involved in sake brewing and craft beer brewing.

As he delved into the fascinating world of beer brewing, he had a sudden inspiration to "create a variety of craft beers." Thus began NAMINO OTO BREWING, a brewery that "makes the most of its ingredients." Using the abundant ingredients of Awaji Island, they spent a year, and now, in their second year, they have produced an impressive 31 different beers. (June 2023 - January 2025)

Initially, they planned to release about one new item per month, but the sheer volume of materials available on the island exceeded their expectations, causing the number of new items to increase rapidly.
Furthermore, in response to the beer, a different design was created for each brand. This was done by ksk/keisuke terada, a graphic designer based in Osaka.WEB/InstagramThis was created by Mr. Kono. Apparently, Mr. Kono and Mr. Terada originally worked together at Kotobuki Sake Brewery.

Each time a beer is brewed, they send a summary of the ingredients and background story, and a design is created based on that. It's truly like a jam session, combining each other's passions to create the beer.
An archive exhibition summarizing that "first year" is being held at Craft Base. The exhibition showcases the beer and its design that were born from collaborations with producers on Awaji Island. The memories of these unique products depict the process from the creation of the beer to the subsequent development of the design.
Tabio makes its debut on Awaji Island.
This exhibition also features the sock manufacturer "TabioThe sock-making process by "[Name of sock maker]" will also be on display. Under the theme of "Let's learn about craftsmanship," the TABIO'S COTTON series, made with cotton grown in Koryo Town, Nara Prefecture, will be on sale, and limited-edition collaboration socks will also be available at this event.

Three types of embroidered patterns featuring delicious Awaji Island flavors. The designs are by an artist who is also a fan of the sock shop "Kutsushitaya". This time, the artwork is adorned with three delicious designs that are symbolic of Awaji Island: "cows," "onions," and "pinsuyaki."

These socks were so popular that they sold out in both men's and women's sizes shortly after going on sale. The sock shop also attracted a lot of attention as it was the first of its kind to open on Awaji Island.

What's your favorite delicious food item?

Then, on December 8th (Sunday), the "Oshi na Oishii Market" (A Delicious Market for Your Favorites) was held. With the theme of "Experience delicious food made with the passion of the creators that makes it so 'Oshi' (a term for a strong preference for a particular product)," this market, where favorites brought together other favorites, was held at SBRICK's Share Base.
This market actually had a little trick up its sleeve for the vendors. SBRICK approached several shop owners and asked, "Is there anyone you particularly like?" In response, they would then reach out to other vendors, creating a chain-like "recommended vendor" system.
For example, VIORIN in Awaji City has become Awaji Island Cafe. Mori Fruit Orchard in Sumoto City has become Island Chocolate Umineki. Kitazaka Poultry Farm in Awaji City has become Tanmi Kaisen Eishin.

Favorite artists set up booths next to each other, creating a truly heartwarming atmosphere! Furthermore, each vendor shared their "favorite" artist, adding to the enjoyment of the market. It truly became a bustling "favorite food market" where fans invited their favorites.

And once again, there was a way to enjoy the town of Sumoto. Titled "Oshi Rally," we gave away a can badge to those who visited shops recommended by the SBRICK staff and collected the secret passwords. The staff who know the town of Sumoto inside and out all have their own favorite shops:SBRICK's InstagramWe introduce it here.

NAMINO OTO BREWING, who were exhibiting at Craft Base, also participated in this market. The market also featured exhibits where visitors could learn about and discover the crafting process. The process of making craft beer was also on display.

It was a fulfilling day where various craftspeople active on Awaji Island gathered and we were able to experience the creation of delicious things. Thank you to Tabio, the artists, the vendors, and the stores that cooperated with the Oshi Rally.
